Zapd App Reaches 100,000 Downloads

We’re very excited to announce that in the two weeks since we’ve launched, we watched the odometer tick past the 100,000 downloads mark in the iTunes store. What a two weeks it’s been! Interviews, reviews, and tutorials have been released by Techcrunch, Gizmodo, Engadget, Cnet, Geekwire, Techflash, Fox News, All Things D, and many others. The interest has been eye opening, humbling, and very exciting.

We’ve learned a lot with all the eager Zappers out there kicking the tires. Having the app in the hands of so many people has given us tons of insight into wants and needs of Zapd users and the possibilities for Zapd going forward.

There is a universe of Zaps that are being created in the blink of an eye. We’ve seen Zaps from foodies, sports fans, photographers, artists, and business owners. Zaps have been used as vacation logs, lunch logs, wedding albums, memorial tributes, event calendars, classified listings, and even personal resumes. Our users are teaching us 100’s of unique ways to use and share Zaps each and every minute. Incredible.

Since we’re aiming for 1 million, we wanted to let everyone know that we’re listening and rapidly developing new features for upcoming releases. And we want to get them out in weeks, not months.

We are pursuing additional avenues to making Zaps unique and indispensable to highly mobile users. We understand that privacy options, private sharing and custom URLs are important, so we are in the process of developing them. We will also be adding comments and other interactive features that help you build your own communities. Video support, groups and new themes will also be coming as well as an Android version.

We’re all about websites in 60 seconds. Capturing your best thoughts and images while on the go. Our top priority is to ensure all of this new functionality is as fast, easy and fun to use as you would expect it to be.

So we want to say thanks to all of you who have so enthusiastically taken to Zapd! If you haven’t given us a try, take a look at some of the reviews, and download the app – it’s fast, free and fun! If you like Zapd, tell a friend, and head back to the iTunes store to give the app a quick review. It only takes a minute and it helps us immensely.

Thanks again and please send us your best Zaps!

  1. We can’t wait for the update with the additional services you’ve mentioned! We started using Zapd yesterday and have embedded Zapd links into our website and Facebook page. Each new home that we have in inventory now has a Zapd link, so that our buyers can see their homes being built from anywhere in the world. I posted two pictures this morning from a jobsite. Check us out at: http://www.SoutheastCustomHomes.com.

Now people are reading my writing when they feel like it, and it’s just so ALL AROUND EASY!!!!

Plus there’s more stuff coming that I can look foreward to!!!! :D (

    Good day,

I am looking for support on zapd, sorry I know this is probably not the place.

It looks like a great app and I am very keen to get started but I cannot log in from my iphone 4. Whenever I press ‘sign up’ the loading window pops up for a few seconds and then closes without signing up. When I try and connect from safari it gives an error and says it cannot communicate with the proxy server. Your help would be appreciated.

    Regards,

    Jo du Plessis
